Normandy
When you choose a Normandy visit you can be sure of a successful tour. Whether your focus is French language and culture or European History your programme will be busy and always stimulating. The region is popular with schools and you can choose from a selection of youth centres and pleasant hotels.
For Language study, the Normandy area is close to home yet retains so much of the traditional ways and values of France. You can show your pupils the centuries-old way of life with its gastronomy, farming and tradition of English visitors plus modern exciting developments in Rouen, Cherbourg and Dieppe. Spend a day at Mont-St.Michel, visit a cider-maker and enjoy shopping and sightseeing in Bayeux.
If you wish to include an historical element you can visit William the Conqueror’s birthplace of Falaise Castle then chart his political success on the Bayeux Tapestry. Your visit to nearby Arromanches can include the 360 Degree Cinema, where a powerful film sequence brings to life the D-Day Landings, then view the Mulberry Harbour remains from the modern town.
And if you are planning a team building tour then Normandy can offer beach activities, local exploration in old-fashioned towns and visits around a bell foundry, submarine and oyster farm.
