ACCOMMODATION
Köln-Deutz Youth Hostel
This spacious modern hostel provides an idea venue for your group. Comfortable four-bedded student rooms are all en-suite, with staff in twins or singles. Students love the green spaces around this hostel - it has a garden and a large park nearby. Walk into the city along the Rhine path and watch the barges and cruise ships. This popular hostel offers quad rooms for pupils with twins for staff, all en-suite, and there’s plenty of space to relax and share a meal or an evening snack.
Youth Hostel Düsseldorf
Relax after your busy schedule in a pleasant hostel just outside the city centre. Your group will have quad rooms with en-suite facilities and twin rooms for staff. Packed lunches give flexibility to your daily programme. This venue is handy for a Rhine excursion as well as your day in Phantasialand.

TYPICAL ITINERARY for a four-day tour
Longer and shorter tours are available
Day One
Morning coach travel to Kent for ferry or shuttle crossing, then onward travel to your Rhineland accommodation. Evening check-in, meal together and time to relax.
Or leave school during the evening for an overnight drive to Germany and time to spend sightseeing in resort.
Day Two
Day excursion to Cologne to visit the wonderful shopping centre and Chocolate Museum. Your pupils will love to climb the huge Cathedral Tower with its amazing river views, then you can treat them to an ice cream in a lively ice-cream parlour. After an evening meal in a traditional German restaurant you can enjoy Cologne’s wonderful floodlighting or relax in your hostel.
Day Three
Spend an exciting day in Phantasialand enjoying the rides and great atmosphere. Your pupils will love the themed areas and buildings and can try out their German in the shops and restaurants. Relax with a bowling evening.
Day Four
Check-out after breakfast for your return journey, with a packed lunch for a break en route to Calais. Continue your onward journey to School for an evening arrival.
