PORT AVENTURA

 

Pupils always love to visit a major theme park, and Port Aventura offers a host of amazing rides and memorable experiences.  It’s an hour’s drive from Barcelona, and near Reus Airport.  There’s plenty for teenagers to enjoy, with big roller-coaster rides and a water park too.  You can spend several days there, or just enjoy a one or two day visit as part of a cultural or holiday tour.  The excellent climate means that a Spring or Autumn tour is ideal, pleasantly warm and not too busy!  Choose to fly or take your own coach.

 

TYPICAL ITINERARY FOR AN EIGHT-DAY HOLIDAY TOUR

(Longer or shorter tours are also available)

 

Day One

Leave School and drive to Dover for your early evening ferry Channel crossing with a meal on board.  Once in France, settle back for a relaxing journey. 

 

Day Two

Continue overnight to Spain with a breakfast stop at the border.  You will arrive at your resort at 13 00 for your hotel check-in and an afternoon of local sightseeing before your evening meal. 

 

Day Three

All day excursion to Barcelona to visit the modern waterfront, famous shopping street Las Ramblas and the impressive Aquarium.  Explore Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter and the quaint cafes and shops.

 

Day Four

Spend the whole day in Port Aventura, with a big choice of rides and attractions.  A fun day for everyone.

 

Day Five

Enjoy another day in Port Aventura, with optional visit to the Caribe Aquatic Park. 

 

Day Six

Visit Camp Nou, Barcelona’s famous football stadium, then relax in Gaudi’s fantastic Parc Guell before a tour of his unfinished cathedral La Sagrada Familia.   Or choose an excursion to Tarragona, beautiful city with wonderful shops and a great atmosphere. 

 

Day Seven

Spend the morning in shopping and relaxing in resort.  Leave after lunch for the overnight drive to Calais with an evening meal stop en route.

 

Day Eight

Once in Calais you will catch the early morning ferry, with breakfast on board, then continue your journey, arriving at School around lunchtime.

 

TYPICAL ITINERARY FOR A FIVE-DAY TOUR BY AIR

Day One

Coach transfer from School to the airport for your flight to Barcelona.  Transfer to your hotel, evening meal and a stroll round your resort.

 

Day Two

All day excursion to Barcelona for shopping in Las Ramblas and a visit to Camp Nou football stadium.  Explore Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter and Monjiuc Hill with its leisure attractions.

 

Day Three

Spend the whole day in Port Aventura, with a big choice of rides and attractions.  A fun day for everyone.

 

Day Four

Enjoy another day in Port Aventura, with optional visit to the Caribe Aquatic Park. 

 

Day Five

Hotel check-out after breakfast, then free time for shopping before your transfer to the airport and return flight.  Coach transfer back to School.

Choose a two or three star hotel in an attractive coastal resort and benefit from a coastal venue and a relaxing atmosphere.  Your group can enjoy a busy programme of visits to Barcelona, Port Aventura and other venues then return to the coast for shopping and games on the beach.
